International Day of Climate Action & Solar Install Class
Saturday, October 24th, 2009I am really excited about what is happening today! The International Day of Climate Action is a day when we can all be mindful about doing our part. Go to www.350.org/oct24 to learn about how you can be a part of the days festivities in your area.
We encourage you to find an event near you, among the more than 4800 events happening globally with 350.org.
350 refers to parts per million which scientists have determined to be the safe upper level for CO2. We’re currently at 387!
This is an international event. Watch the videos, check out the pictures, see the actions worldwide.
Another great website is www.tcktcktck.org as we count down to Copenhagen and the world climate bill.
Has anybody read the “Low Carbon Diet” A 30 day program to Lose 5000 Pounds by David Gershon? It is a nice illustrated workbook to really help us to reduce our pollution. I have heard people starting a neighborhood book/support group using this book to help each other on the way to making the world a better place for us to survive.
I am writing this from the Bluegrass Energy Expo in Lexington Kentucky where our company has a booth and I will be doing a workshop on Oil Addicts Anonymous.
We have signed up two new contractors to our Green Geek Squadtm (our Renewable Energy Install Network) and if all the people interested in my intermediate Solar Electric Design & Installation class in December actually sign up; the class will be full. It is already ¾ full. Have people as far away as North Carolina asking about the class. We have partnered up with John A Logan to again do this class. It is a solid two week course 8 hours a day with the NABCEP PV Entry Level certificate of Knowledge as the final. To register online go to www.jalc.edu/cont_ed or call 618 985 2828 ext 5 for ACE 400 Sec 7 Dec. 7 or ACE 401 Sec 2 Dec. 14. Flier can be viewed here
You may call 618 893 1717 for more information or if you want to order the textbook.
